UPDATES AND PROGRESS

Sept. 12, 2002 Because of many twists and turns life brings, we have decided to turn our world into a real world board game. For the moment anyway. With so much we wanted to put on the online version, it has been difficult to cut the world down to one small board. The paw team is really excited of the changes they have made and hope you will find the new surprises in the game enjoyable. There are 4 boards we are testing right now. If you want to be part of the segment, please contact ElfPaw at [email protected] Please put in the subject box, Requesting Tester application. We will contact you within 7 days with more information.

March 2002 learning programming was much more difficult for this Elf, sad to say but true. So I have decided to bring the world to the table. A real table where families can come together and be together. I am working to put a new board together and revamp the entire world. Not an easy task I must say. I am encouraged by the progress that has been made and thrilled with the results of what is happening.

Oct. 9, 2001 Elfpaw and Thimble meet real world. A true delight!! We exchanged many ideas, pictures and lots of love.

Sept. 10, 2001 <takes a peek around the tree trunk. Wow, has it been that long since I wrote, oh my. Well here is the BIG news for the month. We finally have avatars that we will be using for the pre-alpha testing. ElfPaw just couldn't see anyone running around without an avatar. So we have come up with a cute idea we think the testers will like. And there will be both male and female avatars!!!!

Aug ??, 2001 Xylleth and ElfPaw meet in Real world. What a pleasure that was!! A very special day.

Aug 2, 2001 Elfpaw finds a C++ builder program and an instruction book. So if we can't find a programmer, maybe we learn it ourself. <blinks looking at all the foriegn words>

June 15, 2001 Elfie and Thimble found each other in the forest... scared the both of them. Here Elfie was working on avatars and Thimble was working on quilts. Now they are working on the entrance screen, and the views of the world

April 20, 2000 All the staff have been working very hard in placing the last few ideas into place. Thanks so much for your dedication and hard work. These testers put in many many many hours of their time and gave great suggestions that will be put into action very shortly.

April 14, 2001 We are working on finding which buildings are needed, the interior look and I think we need to find some interior decorators hehhehehe.

Sept. 9, 2000 I haven't written in a while so thought I would post an update on how things are progressing. We have one programmer beginning a game of cards. The card backs and fronts are progressing well in look and style. The perfect touch for Paw's Place. Scheduled to arrive on the Paw server relatively soon. We are still looking for a few more artists, testers, audio genius, and 1 or 2 more programmers. Our new webpage is in the works, and once we have that set, we will begin the process of searching for pre-alpha and alpha testers. Gosh never knew what kind of people are crazy to want to be any kind of an alpha tester, but the ones who are, get a chance to have access to the suggestion box for the builders.....

Aug 20, 2000 Tim Thornton has joined the development team with a great idea for a 4 X 4 game. We will be looking forward to watching this game evolve.

Aug 7, 2000 Kallayla has found her spot on the hosting team, but Elfie will be having her do a few other things in the art department :)

July 23, 2000 Now we have lost the send back off out hosting and tester applications. Seems those CGI servers are having a major problem over on fortunecity. If you have submitted an application and have not received a conformation via email, please contact [email protected]

July 24, 2000 We have found the counter, so we suspect it was the counter server that was not functioning properly.

July 19, 2000 We have lost our counter again. We are not sure if it is because of the server fortunecity being down, or us. We are aware of this problem and will continue to resolve it as soon as possible.

July 18, 2000 Husker was wandering through Paw Village and found herself joining the testing team. Welcome Husker!

July 17, 2000 The word is out..... we have an invisible Dealer now who is practicing shuffing cards, getting ready for that high stakes game over in MoonShine Saloon. Rumor has it, Blackjack is the game <s>

July 14, 2000 The people who have Bryce 4 are working very hard to learn how it works. Soon, the testers will see some of what these talented people have come up with...... nice nice nice

July 6, 2000 Sabyyn has joined the Paw Team. She will be helping with testing until we get her used to us, <giggles>

June 30, 2000 Paw staff had a very productive meeting last night. We are gathering what we need to get the land Paw's Village up and running. June 20, 2000 We now have over 100 images we are testing and finding which ones go into which land or they don't.,.... we have lots of work coming up, but the more we get, the more excited we are all getting.

May 28, 2000 Due to some confusion of dates on an ancient calender, we will now be using the giant sundial in Blue Moon lagoon.

May 22, 2000 ElfPaw posts a sign in front of Paw's Visitor center. Looking for someone who is knowledgable in web page hosting and who can design a new snazzier look!!! We also would like someone with java and shockwave experience.

May 18, 2000 Artwork for the landscapes are coming along nicely, <coughs, if that means Elfie leaves her super soaker in hiding when artists walk by>

May 15, 2000 We had a gathering of the great minds tonight, and found we need a larger hall, so we have asked the builders for MORE ROOM!!! <giggles>

April 11, 2000 Thera (meaning goddess of the earth) has come Paw's Place to join our art team.
She has had extensive Bryce experience, and I am hoping she can help the rest of us learn to create landscaping as beautiful as she does!!

April 10, 2000 Yeah!! Once again our counter is found, but I have no idea where it was. It just appeared back here with the counts from a whole month ago. We may have lost a few counts but I am sure glad it is back.

February 13, 2000 Sound is an important part of any on-line experience.
I haven't given much of a thought to that subject, and was surprised at all the things I had made notes about in regards to sound. If you happen to read this section in the paper, Elfpaw would be so grateful if you would jot down a few things you would like to hear in this world. Try to describe the kind of sound you want as best as you can. Thank You.

January 16, 2000 Seems trees are what is growing most this week in Paw's Place. Once we grow them large enough we can start thinning
out the groves and finish up the landscape of Paw Village.

January 15, 2000 Penny Cervantes has joined the graphics team. One of her Fairies will be found in the land of "Whispering Woods".

January 14, 2000  Alot has happened today. The artwork for the
Paw Visitor center was approved for Paw Village.

The tester application webpage is now set with the proper addresses ...... <wipes brow> cause Elfie was worried she messed up the page..... after talking to Xylleth confirming she indeed received the correct mailing.. ElfPaw jumps up and down with excitement, oopsss.... she just jumped right into a trap hole *poof*

January 13, 2000 The Building of Paw Lane is growing by the day. Two houses have been completed. By the end of next week, we should have six to choose from for the residents in Paw's Place.

January 12, 2000 The "cave" has been scanned, and now the finishing touches for the entrance are being completed. <ElfPaw places something special under the rock. <grins> Just think how many rocks they will have to turn over to find this. Looks to the right, looks to the left *poof*

January 10, 2000 The time has come for us to seek an artist who has specific skills. Paw's Place is in need of a storyteller. This character will be a NPC, who can be found in all the lands with stories that never end. Contact ElfPaw or AngelHeart for more information.

January 4, 2000 Cody Thornton joins the Paw's Art team. He has a lot of talent that you will see more of in the future :)

December 28, 1999 The millennium 2000 is close and approaching, all of us at Paw's Place wish you safe and happy journeys for the New Year.

December 15, 1999 The art Department has been working overtime in building Paw's Village. This land will become our first land in pre-alpha testing.

<Elfpaw is VERY excited about the Village. It will contain 3 distinctive type of areas for chat, 5 different games in each game room to spend time enjoying yourself competing with your friends, and a map to help guide you through the magical and mystical world beyond the Village.> Now of course, you realize that I do not plan on telling you much of this land.... since it is in pre-alpha, and there is so much more that will be added in the months to come. <Elfpaw smiles with a giggle, popping behind her rock to become once again invisible to visitors.>
